Study in the James McCune Smith Learning Hub ExaGEO is offering fully funded summer placements for three undergraduate or integrated masters students to gain hands-on research experience in environmental sciences.
Students must not be in their final year of study.
What You’ll Do
- Gain exposure to an active research environment in a cutting-edge and interdisciplinary project
- Apply your existing skills in statistics, computer science, or related fields
- Conduct literature reviews and biological database research
- Work in teams alongside researchers at multiple career levels, developing your teamwork and communication skills
Placement Details
- Duration: 6–10 weeks over summer 2026
- Location: Lancaster University, University of Edinburgh, or University of Glasgow
- Salary: The exact amount will depend on your host institution, but will be at least the national living wage.
